The Lethbridge Hurricanes have made a trade with the Kootenay Ice sending veteran defenceman Lenny Hackman to the Ice for a 12th round WHL Bantam pick in 2015.
“We can’t thank Lenny enough for the outstanding contributions he has made to
our hockey club on the ice and in the community for the past three seasons”
commented Hurricanes General Manager and Head Coach Peter Anholt. “I’m glad we
were able to make a trade where he’s able to continue his hockey career.”
Hackman, was the Hurricanes 9th round (179th overall) Bantam pick in 2010 and
played never missed a game in his first two seasons. The Airdrie, AB native has
been one of the Hurricanes top blueliners throughout his career was named Top
Defenceman last season. The 5’9, 183 pound 19-year old leaves the Hurricanes
with 175 career WHL games played and 21 points (4G, 17A).
