The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced the hiring of Terry Huisman as the club’s new Business Manager on Wednesday.
The hiring of Huisman was necessary after family and personal related challenges with David Harris, who was hired in July, required him to leave his position and return to his family in Ontario. With Training Camp starting in just two weeks the Board of Directors needed to make a decision quickly to move forward. President, Don Clark says “the hiring of Huisman is a good fit for the team as he brings years of sales and marketing experience to the Hockey Club. He’s an experienced businessman that can bring fresh ideas to our organization.”
Born and raised in Lethbridge, Huisman has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing in Southern Alberta. With his background Huisman believes he’ll be able to generate and guide the organization and most importantly the business operations in the right direction. “I’m honored and excited to be joining the Lethbridge Hurricanes and I looks forward to working closely with the Board and the current team to implement new ideas and direction to the business operations of the club” stated Huisman.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes extend their well wishes to David Harris and his family. Huisman will begin his duties with the club on August 20th, 2012.
