Hurricanes vs. Calgary Hitmen: Pre-Season Game #5
The Lethbridge Hurricanes will get their fill of the Calgary Hitmen over the next week.
After closing out the exhibition schedule against the Hitmen, the two hockey clubs meet to open the season next Friday in Calgary at the Saddledome. Nothing like starting a clean slate against the league champs from last season! Good measuring stick for Lethbridge right off the bat. Then the next night another foe, the new look Medicine Hat Tigers. New look as in Head Coach. Willie Desjardins is gone to the NHL and Shawn Clouston is the man in charge there now. We'll get into those games a little more as the next week goes on.
Anyway, I'll be posting LIVE blog updates tonight and tomorrow in the final two pre-season games. The Hurricanes go into this one with a record of 2-1-0-1.
Season Ticket Pick Up Saturday
Lethbridge Hurricanes season ticket holders can roll by the ENMAX Centre Saturday between noon and 3pm to pick up their packages. The Canes' will be hosting a BBQ in the west parking lot of the ENMAX Centre (weather permitting) and encourage all Season Ticket Holders to drop by and pick up their Season Tickets at this special family oriented event which will include music and a special appearance by Twister. If you can't swing by Saturday, you can still pick up your season ticket packages at the Hurricanes office from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
New Look Blog Site
As you've probably noticed, I decided to redesign the blog a bit. I felt it was a bit to bland and needed a new look. So there you have it! I hope you like it. Different look, same content, and of course your comments as always. I figured it's a new hockey season, new expectations for the team, new website for the Hurricanes and heck, why not a new look for the blog too!
Thanks,
Pat

Hey looks great! I hope it is not like the new WHL site and yours actually works.
ReplyDeleteHa! No this definitely works. I know teams are having some frustrating issues with these new websites. Hopefully that'll all get worked out soon.
ReplyDeleteHey Pat!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that you are not going to get sued for using the old Tasmanian Devil logo on your blog homepage?
Lol! I doubt it. I'm just trying to show the past and the present. It certainly was part of the Canes history.
ReplyDeletethe page looks great...sounds like the Boys are playing great too...was at the game on Tuesday...there is a whole different atmosphere on the team..and i like it

Sounds like another well deserved win! I'm getting a little concerned with the way the injuries are piling up but hopefully the majority are minor. It would be a shame to have such a great pre-season only to have the games that really matter jeopardized by a lot of injuries.

Nice job on Adam Henry. The kid works his but off in camp trying to make the team as a rookie and gets cut by the PBP guy.
ReplyDeleteI certainly apologize for that mistake. The information given to me prior to last night's game about Adam being sent home was incorrect. I take full blame for that. Sorry to Adam and his family. I know how hard these kids work to make these teams. Please accept my apology for that. It is something I feel bad about.
ReplyDeletePat Have you heard any thing about live web cast this year and if they are going to be available?
ReplyDeleteYes, there will be LIVE webcasts as in past years. All the webcasts should be available through the WHL wesbite.
