Brent Kisio New Hurricanes Head Coach

Brent Kisio
Brent Kisio was announced as the new Head Coach of Lethbridge Hurricanes Thursday afternoon at the ENMAX Centre,

The 32 year old Kisio has spent the last 8 season as an Assistant with the rival Calgary Hitmen where he won the WHL Championship in 2010. The native of Calgary says he's very excited for the opportunity. He says he can already see the passion and how much people want a winning team in Lethbridge.

General Manager Peter Anholt says Kisio was the guy he wanted. Anholt shortlisted three or four guys, but felt Kisio would be a really good fit with the Canes. Anholt says he (Kisio) worked in a great organization the last number of seasons and worked with three great coaches: Dave Lowry, Mike Williamson, and Mark French.

Kisio says he wants to bring ian up-tempo style of game to Lethbridge.

The Hurricanes also introduced a number of recently signed prospects, including their top draft pick in 2014, Jordy Bellerive. Anholt says he's a difference maker and always felt it was just a matter of the Hurricanes proving that the organization has stabilized and is a place that Bellerive could develop as a player and as a person.
