Hurricanes Host Moose Jaw

The Lethbridge Hurricanes play host to Moose Jaw tonight at the Enmax Centre.

This will be one of three final home games for the Canes' before the season closes out next Saturday night. The Hurricanes have been playing fairly good the past week or so and are coming off a 4-1 win in Kootenay this past Saturday. The Canes' and Warriors haven't played in a very long time, but they'll get reacquainted this week with two games against each other. The last time these teams met was way back in mid to late October.

Moose Jaw is poised to make the playoffs for the first time in a few seasons. They currently hold down 7th place in the Eastern Conference, one point ahead of Swift Current and seven back of Medicine Hat. The Warriors are 5-4-1 in their past 10 games while the Canes' are 3-4-2-1 in their past 10 hockey games. These two teams split their first two meetings with the Warriors beating the Canes' 6-3 and Lethbridge downing Moose Jaw 5-4 a week later. They'll meet one last time this Saturday when the Hurricanes visit the Crushed Can.

The Hurricanes will hit the road tomorrow morning and head east and set up shop in Regina for a few nights. Lethbridge plays the Pats at the Brandt Centre Friday night. You can bet Linden Rowat will be looking to win one last game against his former team. It just might be a fitting end to a pretty decent career for the Hurricanes overage goaltender.

Game time tonight from the Enmax Centre is 7pm (MT). The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:30. It's also Waste Management night tonight. Fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the game. The items will be collected by Waste Management staff and given to the local food banks in Lethbridge.

Thanks,
Pat
