The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be out in the community once again this week.
Alberta Health Services 2014 Influenza immunization campaign is
underway and members of the Lethbridge Hurricanes are joining others as an
“influenza champion”. Players and staff will be rolling up their sleeves at 4:30
this afternoon (November 4th) at Exhibition Park as they join the battle against
influenza.
On Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30pm some of the
players will be on hand at Park Place Mall. The Hurricanes will be on hand at
the charity kiosk handing out shoe boxes as part of Operation Christmas Child.
The public is encouraged to take a shoe box and fill it with toys, hygiene items
and school supplies for needy children around the world. Operation Christmas
Child is a program of international Christian relief and development
organization Samaritan’s Purse.
Sunday, November 9th from 2:30
to 4:00pm at the ENMAX Centre we’re once again teaming up with ATB Financial for
the 4th annual Hurricanes Hockey Clinic. The instructional clinic with ATB and
the Hurricanes is for boys and girls in the Novice and Atom age category. The
$20 registration fee provides the players with 45 minutes of on ice instruction
from certified instructors and the Hurricanes hockey players.
