The Lethbridge Hurricanes are pleased to announce the signing of prospect Brett
Davis to the Western Hockey League’s Standard Player Agreement.
At the WHL Bantam Draft in May, the Hurricanes drafted Davis in
the 4th round (78th overall.) The 1999-born Centre from Oakbank, MB played with
the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds of the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League last
season. He led his team with 49 points (26G, 23A) and 34 PIM’s in 36 games. His
49 points also ranked him 6th in league scoring.
Davis has also
been on the radar for Team Manitoba. He was among 31 players named to the U-16
POE Development Camp roster for potential participation in the 2015 Canada Game
in February in Prince George, BC. Team Manitoba staff will scout players in the
early portion of the 2014-15 hockey season and will invite a short list to
attend an exhibition tournament in December 2014. The final roster of 20 players
will be named in late December.
