The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club are pleased to announce the signing of four players that
took part in the 2016 ENMAX Training Camp as Shawn Harke, Evan Ladouceur, Alex Cotton and Adam Swan have all
signed a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Harke, 16, was selected in the seventh round (134th overall) in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft by the Hurricanes. The Leduc,
Alberta product appeared in 30 games with the OHA Edmonton Prep in the CSSHL during the 2015-2016 season where
he registered 19 points (6g-13a) along with 20 penalty minutes. The 6’0”, 190-pound forward added three points (1g-2a) in
four playoff games.
Ladouceur, 15, was selected in the sixth round (129th overall) in the 2016 Bantam Draft. The 6’1”, 161-pound forward from
Athabasca, Alberta collected 25 points (13g-12a) along with 18 penalty minutes with Fort Saskatchewan in Bantam AAA
during the 2015-2016 season.
Cotton, 15, was selected in the fifth round (99th overall) in 2016. The 5’11”, 150-pound defenseman from Langley, BC,
spent the 2015-2016 season with the Yale Hockey Academy Bantam Prep where he appeared in 25 games registering
eight points (3g-5a) along with six penalty minutes.
Swan, 16, was selected in the 11th round (222nd overall) in the 2015 Draft. The 6’2”, 188-pound goaltender posted a 5-14-
0-0 record with the Interlake Lightning Might AAA team last year. The product of Ashern, Manitoba registered a 5.45 goals
against average and a .873 save percentage.
The Hurricanes also trimmed their roster to 34 (20 forwards, 11 defenseman and three goaltenders) by releasing
goaltender Justin Verveda, defenseman Kirby Proctor and Ryan Weick and forward Skylar Gutierrez, Zack Kosteniuk,
Jackson Cooke and Hayden Clayton.
