TRADE: Canes Acquire Big D-Man Allan From Seattle

The Lethbridge Hurricanes made one final deal at the trade deadline, acquiring Scott Allan from the Seattle Thunderbirds for a 5th round pick in 2016.

Allan, a 6’6, 235 pound right handed shot defenceman from Thornton, Colorado played 34 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers before being traded to Seattle in October.

Lethbridge Hurricanes General Manager and Head Coach, Peter Anholt likes the size and grit he’ll bring to our team. “One of our priorities was to get bigger especially on the back end. We want to continue to build from the back end starting with our goaltending which we’ve done. I think we’re accomplishing what we’ve set out to do and we should be harder to play against.”

Allan played 25 games with Seattle this season registering a goal and a pair of assists.
