The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced Friday they have re-assigned Goalie Jonny
Hogue to the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Hogue was competing
for the backup goalie spot with Christopher Tai but will now head to the
Drumheller Dragons. The 17-year old from Lethbridge played in the Hurricanes
home opener on September 20th and stopped 32 of the shots he faced in a 6-1 loss
to the Medicine Hat Tigers. Last season with the Lethbridge Pronghorns Midget
AAA, Hogue posted a 3.81 GAA and a .904 Save Percentage. Hogue was drafted by
the Hurricanes in the 8th round (158th overall) in the 2011 Bantam
Draft.
Upcoming Games:
On Saturday,
October 19th, the Lethbridge Hurricanes welcome the Saskatoon Blades to town.
It’s “Social Media Night” so be sure and tweet us (@WHLHurricanes) your photos
during the game and it may end up on the video scoreboard.
On
Tuesday, October 22nd, the Hurricanes welcome the defending WHL Champion
Portland Winterhawks to town. It is their one and only visit to the ENMAX Centre
this season and we will be recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness month
by painting the rink PINK! We’ll also have a toonie toss with proceeds going to
the Canadian Cancer Society.
