Hurricanes Holding "Pink in the Rink"

The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced details for their Breast Cancer Awareness Night coming up on Tuesday, October 22nd when they host the defending WHL Champion Portland Winterhawks.

This is Portland’s one and only visit to the ENMAX Centre this season, so be sure to not to miss the defending champs and help out a great cause!

For the first time ever, the ENMAX Centre ice will be “PINK” to recognize October as “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” The players will also be sporting some “pink” with tape on their sticks and laces on their skates.

Our game sponsor for the night, 1stChoice Savings & Credit Union, will be handing out pink pens and envelopes to fans coming to the game. We’ll be having a “toonie toss” in the second intermission, so fans should be sure to put their toonie in the envelopes provided and write their name (first and last) on the envelope. The person closest to the centre ice dot will win an autographed jersey, and all proceeds from the toonie toss will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Canadian Cancer Society will have a table set up on the concourse with volunteers selling pink and winter merchandise, promoting Relay For Life as well as promoting the support services they offer to residents in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will also have a silent auction that night, with an autographed stick and the chance to have dinner with a Hurricane are some of the items up for bid.

Tickets for Tuesday’s game and all Hurricanes home games can be purchased at the ENMAX Ticket Centre at (403) 329-7328.
