The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced today that Forward Harrison Harper and overage Defenceman Spencer Galbraith were released by the club.
Harrison Harper, 19, was selected by the Hurricanes in the 9th round of the 2009 Bantam Draft. The 6’1, 212 pound right winger played 56 games for the Hurricanes with a pair of goals and an assist. Harper also played in three of the Hurricanes four pre-season games, scoring one goal.
20 year old Spencer Galbraith was acquired in a trade with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2011-2012 season, but left in the early part of last season only to return to training camp trying to earn a spot on the team. Galbraith played in 72 games with Lethbridge, finishing with 14 points (2G, 12A) and in three exhibition games he had three assists.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes would like to thank both Harrison and Spencer for their contributions to the team both on and off the ice. The Hurricanes now have 26 players on their roster - 15 forwards, 8 defencemen and 3 goalies.
