Hurricanes Communications & Events Manager Ryan Ohashi will be posting a training camp report on the Hurricanes website throughout the course of camp. That will also be posted here on the blog. I'll be attending camp for a bit each day too and will provide a few thoughts over the next few days.

The Canes are promising a competitive training camp this year. Fans will also get a look-see at the 16 year olds trying to make this team for the first time, including the Hurricanes highest-ever draft pick, Jay Merkley, who was taken 3rd overall in the 2010 Bantam draft. Head Coach and G.M. Rich Preston said a few weeks ago that a few the 17 year old players that missed making the hockey club last season as 16 year olds will be coming in stronger and hungrier this year.

Let the fun begin!

Thanks,
Pat
