  2. That Bradley's got big onions, Pat. My first season tickets, a long time ago, were more than these are now. Gotta give them credit for trying. This is no 'Early bird' garbage like we have seen for years out of this group. This is a real deal.

  3. i think they had no choice, a poor on ice product along with a big price tag on their end of the reno's adds up to start kissing some @## or go in the hole...i think the organization figured they would have been much better this year and could rely on maybe playoff money, but the way it stands if they make it in with the way the season has gone you cant count on much of a fan base this year..

  4. Actually, the board rarely budgets for playoffs, preferring to cover costs with 72-game revenue. Playoffs are gravy. That's why they pocketed a lot of money during good times, because they could foresee a rebuild -- and tough times -- coming.
And the price tag on their end of the renos isn't big, it's already been covered in the past three budgets. Please get the facts straight. The team is losing money because of attendance, and while on-ice performance is the biggest indicator of attendance, there are other factors which need to be considered (the renos make the building dingy, the team's board isn't the most popular group in the city, a lack of marketing plan over the past 15 years...). Playoffs weren;t part of the budgeting process this year, but I'm sure they're always a hope.

  5. This certainly was not a case of W@#*(&(&(* kissing but it was a marketing plan to give back to the fans for their support over the last 24 seasons. As mentioned by the preceding submission, when the Hurricanes set and approve their budget each year, playoff games are never part of that budget process. Also their contribution to the renos is a budgeted amount as well. Yes the on ice production has been disappointing and we all know that this city has a bad reputation for supporting only a winner. But Bradley's 25% marketing plan was to bring attention to the 25th season and to say thanks to the support over the previous years. No hidden agenda. I can't wait to call in my season ticket renewal.

  6. i have my facts straight, this is a team that goes up and down like a yo yo year after year, with a organization that only does anything for its fans when its time to panic...and that time is now..another year of garbage hockey in lethbridge make for a super deal for next year because of a sales staff that is scared of declining numbers to say the least..and as you say a " dingy building" your to funny. i was there in 96 when we went to the mem cup, and imo if the sportsplex had a roof on it or not it wouldn't have made no difference because of a great team that we would of followed to the end of the earth, hands down...get your facts straight and please post under any name but anonymous 9:o7 if you want any credibility......
