The Lethbridge Hurricanes played well, but just couldn't hang on losing a 5-4 game in a shootout in Cranbrook Wednesday night.
Lethbridge played fairly well given the team's young line-up as most of the big guns are away at pro camps. Like the previous two pre-season games, the Canes' started out strong, but penalty trouble proved to be the difference. The Hurricanes are now 0-3 in exhibition play this season. The team heads south to Washington State when it will play in a pre-season mini tournament against Tri-City, Everett, and Portland this weekend. After that, the Canes' return home to Lethbridge to get ready for the regular season which opens next Friday, September 18th in Cranbrook against the Kootenay Ice.
