It might be the middle of summer and temperatures topping out at more than 30 degrees here in southern Alberta. but the boys of winter are getting ready for the start of the Western Hockey League season. The Lethbridge Hurricanes start training camp around August 26th.
Last week I sat down with Hurricanes GM Peter Anholt who is going into his first full season as General Manager of the hockey club. As people know, the Canes haven't made the playoffs since the 2008-2009 WHL season, so the post-season drought has been a long one for this team and its fans.
Anholt and I spoke about several things in our ten minute sit-down interview. Him and I will do a number of these chats throughout the course of the upcoming season. Listen to out pre-camp interview in its entirety below.
