The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced Tuesday Forward Steven Alldridge has decided to retire from the Western Hockey League.
The 18-year old from Inuvik, NWT came to the Hurricanes in the Corbin Boes trade to the Portland Winterhawks prior to last year’s trade deadline. At the time of the trade, the 6’3, 200lb left winger had played 24 games with the Winterhawks where he was a minus-4 plus/minus rating to go along with his 54 penalty minutes.
Alldridge played 15 games with the Hurricanes, before a shoulder injury cut short the 2013-2014 season and he had yet to return to the lineup this season.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes thank Steven for all his contributions to the hockey team both on the ice and in the community. The hockey club wishes Steven all the best in his future endeavors.
Tough break. His much needed size may have helped. I know Robson can't control injuries, but another traded for player, gone!

(Too bad they won't release the last of the cheerleaders).
RJS.... Your continual cheerleader rant is getting a little ridiculous!!
ReplyDeleteThese are young girls that enjoy dance and cheer as their sport/activity. We should all be there to support them like we are there to support the boys. Get a life!!!!
I am at the games to support the players! That is why I have season tickets! I am a hockey fan!
ReplyDeleteNo other reason!
Anon 9:27, if you want to support the cheerleaders, that is your choice, don't condemn me for not supporting them. If you are tired of my rant, then don't read them. Simple as that.

(2 cheerleaders is still 2 too many)
RJS.... I guess you will never see the power of a COMMUNITY owned team and the impact that it can provide to EVERYONE in the community. So sad!!!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see the cheerleaders on tv tonite....Cheer girls have more enthusiasm than our hopeless canes. Good luck in your future endeavors Steven life will be better where ever your life takes you!!
ReplyDeleteAnon 14:52 which is likely Anon 9:27 (who knows). Hmmm community owned team. I would guess that anyone (like me) who has purchased at least one share, and is a regular season ticket holder, and buys merchandise, bids for jerseys on special nights, would be considered to be a community supporter of the team.
ReplyDeleteJust because I do not go rah-rah-siss-boom-bah for the cheerleaders does not lesson my support of the team!

(So sad, get a life, but in the meantime get rid of the last 2 cheerleaders)
