The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced their schedule for the 2014-2015 regular
season Wednesday and some key matchups and division rivalries will once again be
highlighted.
The Hurricanes open the regular season with a home and home against
Medicine Hat at 7:00pm on Friday, September 19th at the ENMAX Centre. This home
and home series marks one of three these rivals will be playing this season.
This year, the Hurricanes will close out the season with a home and home against
the Swift Current Broncos with the final regular season home game being played
on March 20th.
Overall, Lethbridge will play the Tigers and Kootenay Ice
seven times, while facing the Calgary Hitmen, Red Deer Rebels and Edmonton Oil
Kings six times each. The first game at the ENMAX Centre between the Hurricanes
and defending Memorial Cup Champions from Edmonton will be played Saturday,
November 8th.
The Hurricanes hit the road to BC in October when they
visit Prince George, Kamloops and Kelowna while this year they make the trek to
the US twice. November 28th and 29th will be games against Tri-City and Spokane
and in February they’ll make their final visit to the remaining American teams.
Lethbridge Hurricanes 2014-2015 Schedule
With all the complaints of multiple back-to-back home dates, the Canes get even more of them scheduled for 2014-15 compared with last season... that will for sure hurt attendance!
ReplyDeleteIt should only be a common occurance in the "far away" markets such as Brandon, PG, or Portland...
Who is complaining about weekend games? I am sure more people are able to get to the games on the weekend as opposed to mid week games. I would think that this would help attendance instead of hinder it. Not sure I follow your logic.

ReplyDeleteThis season's schedule is a lot better for weekend games as far as I'm concerned. Normally I can make it down for 10-12 weekend games each campaign, but last year I could only make it for 7.
Maybe things would be different if I didn't have to work during the week.... ;-)
