The Lethbridge Hurricanes are proud to join forces with the Lethbridge Bulls in a charity softball game at Spitz Stadium Wednesday, June 4th to benefit the Alzheimer’s Society.
The game will feature members of the Hurricanes staff, Goalie Jonny Hogue, Strength & Conditioning Coach Steve Szilagyi as well as a number of alumni including Russ and Mitch Maxwell, Mike Wuchterl, Craig Orfino, Max Moline, Cason Machacek, Mark Reners, Dan Iwanski and Brent Henke. Head Coach Drake Berehowsky will also be in attendance to support the players and the cause everyone is playing for.
Throughout the game there will be information and messages about what the Alzheimer’s Society does while the game itself serves as the kickoff to the Memory Walk coming up on June 21st at Henderson Lake. Prior to the game, starting at 6:30, there will be a concert by Matt Sidor. Other events taking place during the game are a 50/50 and a silent auction (which includes a signed jersey from both the Hurricanes and the Bulls).
Tickets are $15 dollars each and can be purchased from the Hurricanes or Bulls office, the Alzheimer’s Society or at the game.
Funds raised will go to care and support for families in Southern Alberta.
Yours truly gets the honour of being the PA announcer for this fun event! See you at the ball park!
Cheers,
Pat
