The Lethbridge Hurricanes will unveil a new 3rd jersey next week.
The Canes' will reveal the new jersey on Monday afternoon at the Vimy Ridge Armoury next the Lethbridge County Airport. They'll be posing for photos with members of the 18th Air Defence Regiment, R.C.A. who have recently finished tours in Afghanistan.
The Hurricanes new 3rd jersey is a complete redesign and will see a return to one of the hockey club's original colours - Cardinal Red. The reveal of the new jersey is a timely one as the Hurricanes will show their support for the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces leading up to Remembrance Day. The Canes' will wear these new red jerseys for the first time on Wednesday, November 10th when they play host to the Calgary Hitmen. They will also wear them every Friday after that. All fans coming to the Wednesday game are encouraged to wear red as well. The Hurricanes are proud to show their support for the Canadian Armed Forces.

I will be attending this jersey unveiling and will post up some pictures here on Monday afternoon after the announcement is made.
Thanks,

Sounds great Pat! I love the look of that Caps jersey!
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you, you were there, I wasn't. I need some help understanding this one. Canes lose huge in the Hat, but silver cloud is that Tarnasky apparently has one of his best games as a Cane (echoed again by Preston in tonight's pre-game interview). He was only -1 on a game sheet of a LOT of big negative numbers. Why then, do you suit up Graham Hood in the next game (against Kootenay) to reward him for his team worst -4 in that game, and sit Tarnasky?? -Richie.
I was wondering the same thing, as soon as I heard Tarnasky was a healthy scratch.
ReplyDeleteYou want some Cane-praise,... here's some.
ReplyDeleteRussell Maxwell, given the Assistant captain, and got his first goal, A+, not just "A"
Max Ross. Maybe the Canes best player over the past couple of weeks. A great short handed goal a couple games back, regular physical play, and another goal tonight in Kootenay.
Berglund... How sweede it is. Nicely done!
Emotion from Preston? Looks like he cares after all. Nice to see.
Congratulations Canes! Isn't that more fun than 7-0? - Richie.
Thanks Pat for asking the question in the post game. Makes a lot more sense now.
ReplyDeleteNicely done tonight, Canes! Let's hope Tarnasky is feeling up to playing tomorrow. He earned himself some ice time in the Medicine Hat game.

P.S. Thanks Ritchie.
Tarnasky was not a healthy scratch. He was a last minute scratch due to a minor ankle injury. He took the pre-game skate but it was decided he should rest the ankle. R. Maxwell and Moser were the question marks last night, but both played because Tarnasky couldn't.
ReplyDeleteHow do you give a 16 year old the A for a game. I know he plays hard, but I dont think as a rookie he is an A leader in the room !! I am really looking forward to some explanations on that! If it was to make him feel good and see what he could produce, then maybe they the A should be rotated around and see how others play or what they do when they get an A.
