Pre-Season: Hurricanes vs. Spokane

The Hurricanes are playing their first exhibition game tonight in Tri-City against the Spokane Chiefs.

I will be blogging the score as it happens. I may not have the goal scorers, but I will provide the score and shots on goal. I will however post the final summary, once the game has been sent off to the WHL.

First Period

Game underway.

1-0 Spokane early

2-0 Spokane still early in the first period.

3-0 Spokane now just passed mid-way point of the first period.

Chiefs score again. Spokane now leads 4-0. First period still going.

First period over. Chiefs lead the Hurricanes 4-0. Shots on goal after 20 minutes: Spokane 20 & Lethbridge 5.

Second Period

Period underway....

Spokane jumps out to a 5-0 lead

Chiefs score again. Spokane now leads 6-0 half way through the second.

Hurricanes get their first goal. Derek Ryckman scores for Lethbridge. Spokane leads 6-1.

Period over. The Chiefs have a 6-1 lead over the Hurricanes. The total shots through 40 minutes: Spokane 33 & Lethbridge 15.

Third Period

Period underway......

Mark Reners scores for the Hurricanes. Spokane still leads 6-2

Chiefs add one more. Spokane leading 7-2.

Game over. Final score: Spokane 7 & Lethbridge 2. Final Shots: Chief 40/Hurricanes 24
