Hurricanes 2010 Draft Order

The WHL's Bantam Draft is set for 8:30 Thursday morning in Edmonton.

I spoke with Brad Robson Monday, the Hurricanes Assistant G.M. and Director of Player Personnel. He told me the organization is certainly ready for this draft and all the scouting staff has done it's due diligence in preparing for April 29th. He says having four picks in the top 41 overall, including the third overall selection the Canes' will be getting four very talented young players to build in the next few seasons. I will be updating the blog throughout the day Thursday as the Hurricanes selections are made between rounds one and 12.

Last year the Hurricanes did not have a first round pick as that was traded to Everett in the Kyle Beach deal. The Cane's first pick in 2009 was Ryley Bennefield who they took in the second round, 33rd overall.

Here is a quick of summary of where the Lethbridge Hurricanes will select in Thursday's WHL Bantam Draft:

2nd round (27th overall from Regina)

2nd round (41st overall from Tri City)

3rd round (69th overall) – Traded to Regina

4th round (91st overall)

5th round (113th overall) – Traded to Regina

5th round (125th overall from Kootenay)

6th round (135th overall) – Traded to Kelowna

7th round (157th overall) – Traded to Kootenay

8th round (179th overall)

9th round (201st overall)

10th round (223rd overall)

11th round (245th overall)

12th round (267th overall)
