Canes' Take Leverton, Erkamps, & Topping In Round Two

EDMONTON - The Lethbridge Hurricanes have taken Centre Craig Leverton and Defencemen Macoy Erkamps and Joel Topping with their three picks in the second round of the 2010 Bantam draft.

Leverton is 5' 9 and 170 pounds our of Warman, Saskacthewan and was chosen 25th overall. He played this past year for Warman. Erkamps is 5' 10, 175 from Ladner, B.C. and taken by the Canes' 27th overall (that pick was aquired from Regina). Erkamps played South Delta. As for Joel Topping, he's a right-shooting defenceman who hails from Red Deer and is 6' 0, 170 pounds. He played for teh Red Deer Black.

The Canes' selected Johnathan Merkley 3rd overall with their first pick in round one.

Lethbridge had four picks in the top 40 and decided to choose two D-men and two forwards with those selections.
