  1. Brody Sutter - that's a complete joke. What a name will do for you.

  2. Have to agree with you.
5 goals in your 18 year old season and you are ranked above Gallagher who potted over 40 I think as a 17? All about politics in our favorite game. Still even after all these years it still comes down to that.
I would say it could be that Brody is 6'4" but his is an absolute stick. I'm sure he couldn't venture out into today's wind without turning into a Southern Alberta tumbleweed.

  3. Maybe the Calgary Sutters will draft Brodie Sutter. No wonder Calgary stinks.

  4. For crying out loud, what has Central Scouting being smoking? Brody Sutter as a potential draft pick? Come on, he is not a great skater, he loses one-on-one battles for the puck, he has no scoring touch. The kid is a rake, and unless he fills out, and gets stronger he will be nothing but a second rate minor leaguer at best.

What a joke! I think it is all in a name.......

  5. So what happened to Brandon Anderson being ranked?
I am rather surprised that he slipped off the radar.

  6. Anderson is only 17. His draft year isn't till next year. I assume if he plays just as good or even better next season he'll be ranked too for the 2011 draft.

  7. Pat - This will be Brandon Anderson's draft year, as he turns 18 in July. Brody's draft year is this year, only because his birthday is late in the year being born in 1991.

  8. You are incorrect Pat.
Anderson's birthday is August 13 1992. The cutoff for the draft is Sept 15 1992. Thus, he is eligible. Sutter is draftable after his 18 year old season because his birthday fell after the Sept 15 deadline in his 17 year old season. Much like Boychuk faced.

Anderson is the 5th ranked WHL goalie. 32nd for NA Goalies. I think he more than likely will not be drafted.

  9. Sorry you are both right. I had the wrong birth year for Anderson. This would make it his draft year here in 2010. My mistake! Thanks.
