Hurricanes 2016 Pre-Season Schedule

The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club, in partnership with the Western Hockey League, have announced their 2016 pre-season schedule.

The Hurricanes will play a total of six exhibition games that will include again appearing in the Crowsnest Pass Tournament with the Kootenay Ice and Calgary Hitmen. The Hurricanes will begin their exhibition schedule on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 when they will host the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Coaldale Ice Arena.

It will be the third consecutive season that the Hurricanes will play a pre-season game in the Town of Coaldale. Last year, the Hurricanes dropped a 2-1 decision to the Swift Current Broncos. In each year, the Hurricanes have played in front of a sold-out Coaldale Ice Arena. Tickets for the game will be for sale at a later date.

* Saturday, September 3, 2016 – Hurricanes at Medicine Hat Tigers – 7:00 pm in Taber

* Friday, September 9, 2016 – Hurricanes vs. Swift Current Broncos – 7:00 pm at ENMAX Centre

* Saturday, September 10, 2016 – Hurricanes at Swift Current Broncos – 7:00 pm at Credit Union i-Plex

* Thursday, September 15, 2016 – Hurricanes at Kootenay Ice – 7:00 pm in Crowsnest Pass

* Friday, September 16, 2016 – Hurricanes vs. Calgary Hitmen – 7:00 pm in Crowsnest Pass

The Hurricanes and the WHL will announced the regular season schedule later this month. The Hurricanes will begin their defense of the 2015-2016 Central Division title when they open the 2016-2017 regular season on Friday, September 23rd against the Tigers at the ENMAX Centre.
