  1. This is off topic . A friend asked me to check out The Red Deer Advocate Dec. 3rd sports "Big things come in small packages " A lot of class from a former Cane . Good luck with your new team Riley [ but not against the Canes please ]

  2. I'm not a subscriber to the Red Deer Advocate (so I couldn't read the article in it's entirety), but here's the portion that is available to nonsubscribers:

"Riley Sheen wants to make one thing clear — he didn’t ask to be dealt by the struggling Lethbridge Hurricanes. In fact, the 20-year-old winger was highly appreciative of his time with the ‘Canes, a team that has experienced in-house strife, and certainly took the high road when discussing Monday’s transaction that moved him to the Red Deer Rebels."

Very classy by Riley. Enjoy the playoffs!

  3. This is quite interesting in that it appears that the Canes got whacked out of the ballpark by the announcement from the Bulls the same day. The Canes and Bulls events are three weeks apart. Was wondering if the Canes or the Bulls approached each other about having one event. The Bulls theme is "team mates edition". Would have been nice to combine the two events and bring in Coffee along with someone who played with him on the Oilers, Pens or Wings or wherever else he played. Can anyone say Kevin Lowe. (lol) Any inside info if the two events were ever considered as one??
