Goberis & Lenchyshyn Reassigned

The Lethbridge Hurricanes reduced their roster by two on Thursday after a pair of 2012 Bantam draft picks were reassigned.

The hockey club reassigned both Zachary Goberis and Thomas Lenchyshyn.

Lenchyshyn was the Hurricanes 1st round (18th overall) draft pick and played in two regular season games. During the 2014-2015 preseason, the 17-year old from Steinbach, MB played in 5 games where he registered one point with 7 PIM’s and a minus-3 plus/minus rating.

Goberis who was drafted in the 4th round played in two regular season games. The 17-year old from Arvada, Colorado played in all six of the Hurricanes preseason games and registered one goal.

With today’s roster moves, the Hurricanes are left with 28 on their roster, including 4 overagers; 17 forwards, 9 defenceman and 2 goalies.

  1. Well the numbers game and the addition of some more depth meant that younger less experienced players would be moved. Still have an overage to move and another 3-4. Of course there are the current injured players to be taken into consideration as well. Skumatov being one of them will certainly be a welcomed addition back to the roster when he heals,.

Lenchyshyn has been on the "bubble" before. Wish him well.

  2. Nick Walters is posting good bye to Tyler Bell on social media. We are eager to hear if he was traded or released.
