The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced Monday (June 17), the hiring of Kyle McDonald as their
High Performance Coach for the upcoming season.
Hurricanes General
Manager Brad Robson calls this a step in the right direction especially with a
young team. “This is the way for all teams including the NHL. Having an
enhancement coach, like Kyle who knows what it takes in working with younger
players, is a valuable tool in dealing with a young team. We believe Kyle’s
experience in coaching at all levels will only help us as we continue to grow
and develop in the future.”
McDonald has over a decade of experience in
coaching hockey (and golf) at various levels of elite athletic competition. He’s
created and implemented mental and skills programs for both players and coaches
and owns a sport psychology consulting firm.

Thanks,
Pat
I checked the staff on the canes website and it nowhere did I see a McDonald employed with the canes. Must be an in-law.

I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want to come and work with this team anyway, considering the negative comments that pop up immediately after every announcement.

This team must have won the lottery , attendance goes up and the BOD spends like a bunch of drunken sailors !! Was this team not in a ton of debt at the start of last season ? Did we not just buy out another coach and gm ?Did we not just overpay for a new logo ? My question is where is the money coming from to pay these people ? Are we paying them peanuts to keep the circus going ? I dont get it !! Line of credit must be maxed to the nuts again !!!

Hey Off Side how do you know they overpaid for the new logo? No price has ever been given! If you want to know the answers to you're question suggest you buy a share run for the board.

ReplyDeleteAt least the powers that be are trying to do something positive. The real test is winning hockey games. It usually solves all that ails you.
ReplyDeleteTwitter feed is back up and running again. Thanks for the note Long Run.
