The Lethbridge Hurricanes have selected a forward and defenceman in Round 4 of the 2013 WHL
Bantam Draft.
The Canes chose forward Jaeger White from Medicine Hat. He's 5 foot 8, 162 pounds. He was picked 72nd overall. Two picks later the Hurricanes grabbed defenceman Connor Rokosh from Edmonton with the 74th overall pick. Rokosh is 6 foot 2, 174 pounds.
The
Canes traded their first round pick, 6th overall to Brandon for veteran
goalie Corbin Boes. You can hear GM Brad Robson talk about the first
round happenings in a lower post on the blog.

Odd that White dropped. Could be the steal of the draft? Or has he already hit his ceiling?

Well it is obvious that the theme of this year's draft for the Hurricanes is size! Of the five players taken only one is "smaller". Goaltender and the two d-men are at least 6ft. Picking Skinner in the first round shows that they want a lot more depth in nets. Initially I questioned the Boes move, but the fact they flipped picks in the deal and selected Skinner, made the move worth it. Boes will start lots of games, but I can see Tai getting more starts also.

Whites white maybe the steal of the draft. I think the trade for Boes is a good one. He proved pretty tough to score on when he played here against the Canes. It will be good for Tai to get another year of seasoning, he will get into more games next year which is good. Looking forward to next season!
