  1. How is the "Fan Favorite" chosen?.....thought there was to be a chance to vote....

Just read that the Kootenay Ice have made the playoffs for the last 14 consecutive years.....makes Cane fans rather envious doesn't it?

  2. I hope the team goes out in a blaze of glory this weekend and finishes their home games with two more wins.

    Good luck Hurricanes.

  3. Fan favorite award was up on the website for a few weeks but not well publicized. Sutter was leading when they stopped the voting with I think Johnston or Maxwell second.

  4. Fan Favorite was on their website and the update was on their social media sites as well also reminding people to go vote.

  5. I'll be dumbfounded if Ketlo gets more starts than Liston. I don't care what Ketlo's plans are after this season, the organization doesn't owe it to him to continue to "showcase" his talents for his next hockey career (as one person suggested). The organization needs to do what's best for the organization. If they thought they owed it to every 20 year old to showcase their talents and give them all the ice time, this franchise would be in big trouble trying to move forward.

Get Liston in the nets for ALL the final games and let's see how he responds! If he doesn't respond, then maybe it's time to play Kovacs. Do something other than play a goalie who isn't going to be here next year.

  6. As for Kootenay making the playoffs 14 years in a row......Canes' fans can be jealous of the team's accomplishment, but their own fans wouldn't be able to cause they don't attend. That's certainly nothing to be proud of......Darren

  8. I might have to cast a vote for Damien Ketlo as fan fave....anyone else have thoughts? After Braes left, it's hard to tell who is the fave.
