Training Camp Day One: Team Rosters

2011 Hurricanes Training Camp fired up on Wednesday from the Adams Ice Centre.

62 participants reported to camp including 15 returning players from the Canes 2010-11 lineup. Following registration, the 95 and 96 born players took to the ice for the first on ice sessions of the week. Some notables taking in their first WHL Camp included Canes 3rd and 5th overall draft picks in 2011 - Ryan Pilon and Reid Duke. Pilon weighed in at an impressive 6’2 - 195 lbs. and showed some of the skill that made him an All State All Canadian along with Duke this past summer.

The 95 & 96-born Team A and Team B will begin scrimmages tomorrow with a pair of games (9:30AM, 3:00PM) – Team C made up of all the veterans will hold a practice at 12 Noon. Fans are welcome to attend the on ice sessions - please find attached lineup for days 1 & 2.

At this time the Hurricanes are proud to thank ATB Financial as the official sponsor of the 2011 Lethbridge Hurricanes Training Camp. Alberta Treasury Branch will also be the Canes official sponsor for the Hurricanes 2011 Skills Competition and a Hurricanes Minor Hockey Clinic in the 2011-12 Season.

“We are very proud to have Alberta Treasury Branch as a partner for many of these unique events and we appreciate their support of our community and Hurricanes Hockey” said Canes Business Manager Jim Bradley.
