Ryan, a rookie, totaled two goals and a plus-three in 34 games with the Stockton Thunder this season. He played four games for Stockton against Utah. Previously, he played three seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Reddington, 20, signs a professional tryout agreement after just completing six years of junior hockey in the WHL. Since no one has mentioned it, I would like to extend my congratulations to former Hurricane captain Ben Wright for being part of the CIS Men's hockey champion University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds. Ben joined the Reds in December of 09 after a brief stint with Elmira of the ECHL.

Attaboy RJS! Ben, and former Cane and U.N.D. CAPTAIN, Kyle Bailey, too! (I thought BW had a strong good game; got at least one assist that I saw)
ReplyDeleteHey, BTW,... Blog watchers...
Where are all the guys who requested that Pat post a thread for predictions??
He did a lot of research and spent the time to produce it, and ... Everyone decide they want to wait until the series are decided before they make their "predictions?" Check out the previous BLOG thread and show some interest! - Richie.
Hey Ritchie, I was one of those hoping for a list of predictions. So before the series started this is what I figured would happen.
ReplyDeleteSaskatoon in 5
Red Deer in 5
Medicine Hat in 6/7
Kootenay in 6/7 but hurting big time after the series was over.
Portland in 4
Kelowna in 5
Spokane in 5
Tri Cities in 6/7 (come on Carter).
However if there was a series were there was the potential for an upset, I felt it could be Brandon-Med Hat due to the high scoring ability of the WK.
I will get my second round out sooner.

Good luck to Mike. He was one Hurricane you could count on showing up EVERY game! Solid defenceman. Not flashy, but solid.
ReplyDeletePat......do you have any info on the upcoming Alberta Cup? For example, do you have any info about who some of the highly ranked players are that we might want to keep our eye on?
The reason I ask is because the Hurricanes are picking twice in the first five this year and I'd like to see who they might be targeting (since Brad Robson wouldn't give out any names during your interview with him).
RJS.....good point. Ben Wright deserves to be a champion. He was a solid defenceman for many years for the Hurricanes. Congrats to him!
Hey Pat, I understand your not as active on the Blog over the summer as you are during the season (100% understandable!) But I was wondering if there was any way you would be able to post pictures once a month or so of the ongoing renovations at the Enmax? I would love to see the New dressing room for the boys and the jumbotron after its complete. As well as the suites and the restaurant/lounge. Is there any way you could do this? Thanks Pat!
ReplyDeleteYou bet Jim. I hope to get into the ENMAX Centre near the end of April when the new clock arrives and get some pictures and an updated reno story on the blog at that time.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks a lot Pat. I'm excited to watch some hockey in what's going to feel like a brand new building next year. (Hopefully the atmosphere improves as well!)
