Hurricanes Host Prince Albert

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be looking for some revenge as they host the Prince Albert Raiders tonight.

The last time these two teams met November 19th at the ENMAX Centre, the Canes' let things get away in the third period, giving up six goals in what turned out to be a 9-3 loss. The Raiders, along with the Edmonton Oil Kings are nipping at the Hurricanes heals right now in the Eastern Conference standings, so this game tonight it a biggy for Lethbridge. The Hurricanes need to get back into the win column as they have just one victory in their passed 8 games.

Tonight is also the Hurricanes 15th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuff toy to the game and when the Hurricanes score their first goal, those in attendance can throw them onto the ice. All the items collected will be donated to local charities throughout the Christmas season. This is also the first of six straight games at home for the Hurricanes over the next two weeks.

Game time tonight from the ENMAX Centre is 7:00 pm (MST). The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:30 with myself and Fred Jack.

  2. Home game, local fans, local player scores the first Canes goal....#7 Russell Maxwell. However, if for some reason he does not play (healthy scratch)...then I will go out on the limb with Brody Sutter.

  3. Alex Kuvaev. I have the feeling that tonight will be a big night for him!

  4. Whatever happened to our 2009 Teddy Bear Boy, Taylor? He was supposed to be a big superstar forward for us this year?

I don't think it will be one of the team's scoring leaders tonight. I will go with Moser for tonight's TBG. Kuvaev and Maxwell can get the next 6 if they want - Richie.

  5. My apologies to Fyten (2009 Teddy Bear Scorer). Garrett Taylor was 2008 Teddy Bear Boy (Thanks Canes Website; great videos of last 10 years of Teddy Bear Goals). - Richie.
