Hurricanes Hit The Road

LETHBRIDGE - The Lethbridge Hurricanes hit the road for a couple of weeks.

The team left early this morning for the B.C. Fraser Valley and will set up shop in Chilliwack for the next few days. The Canes' will play the Bruins tomorrow at 8pm (MT). Perhaps a little time away from home will do this team some good. Lethbridge has been struggling to put it mildly. They have just one victory in their past 8 games and have lost 4 in a row. In those 4 losses, the Hurricanes have score just 5 goals. Finding the back of the net been an issue all season for this team, but it's been somewhat magnified over the past week.

The Hurricanes have 21 games to go in the regular season. They play their next 6 to start off the month of February away from home.

Hurricanes This Week

Our weekly Hurricanes talk show in back on the air tonight on CJOC at 6:00. I'm away with the team, so Fred Jack our colour analyst on the broadcasts will host the show along with Marty Baceda from Global TV. We had hoped to get WHL Commissioner Ron Robison on the program tonight, but he's away at the WHL Governors meetings and is unable to join us. We will talk with Morley Scott, the radio voice of the Vancouver Giants to set up Wednesday's match-up between the Canes' and Giants. Fred and Marty will also take your phone calls tonight. The number is 403-388-4646 if you want to get in tonight's open line segment. I might call in and join the chat too if we get to our destination before the show starts!

Thanks,
Pat
