The Lethbridge Hurricanes host Kamloops tonight at the Enmax Centre.
The Canes' have an 0-2 record against the Blazers this season with both losses coming in Kamloops, one in late September and the other just a couple of weeks ago. The Hurricanes are coming off a 3-2 shoot out win versus Kelowna on Wednesday while the Blazers lost 5-1 in Edmonton.
Lethbridge has 8 games to go in the regular season. After tonight they will jump on the bus and head to Cranbrook tomorrow where they play the Kootenay ICE. The Blazers meanwhile sit in the final playoff spot in the West. They haven't officially clinched a post-season berth yet, but with a 17 point lead on Seattle and 7 games left, I'd say Kamloops in is a pretty good lock. The Blazers also trail Kelowna and Chilliwack by just two points. Those three teams will have the honour of playing either Tri-City, Vancouver, or Everett in the first round.
Next week the Hurricanes will take on Moose Jaw twice and then Regina. The following week it's Red Deer and back-to-back against Medicine Hat to close out the season.
Game time tonight on CJOC is 7 o'clock (MT). The pre-game show at 6:30.
Thanks,
Pat
Pat, what to do, what to do?? Feeling very guilty all day today. Season ticket holder. Missed the last couple of games, and SHOULD be at the Enmax supporting the Canes battle the Blazers tonight, but darn those Olympic schedulers!! Couldn't even find someone to take the tickets (for free) tonight!
