Hurricanes Staff Issue Challenge

I just received this note from Dawna Welterlich, Corporate Account Executive with the Hurricanes Hockey Club:

As you may have heard, this weekend the Lethbridge Hurricanes are sponsoring the Pink In the Rink fundraising and awareness campaign. The players will be in specially designed jerseys that will be sold in a silent auction format over the course of the two games. As well, for every $200 raised on the Reach For The Cure website, a Hurricane player will have their head shaved at centre ice after the game on Saturday night. Carter Bancks has agreed to be the first to face the razor if donations top $1500. I just heard from Linden Rowat that he is not only planning to shave his head, but that his mustache is going too!

And now this just in: if the donations hit $5000, Business Operations Manager Geoff Stewart will also have his head shaved!

The Hurricanes’ office staff, coaches, trainers and the management of the Ticket Centre have donated $260.00 towards this cause. We issue a challenge to all other businesses of Southern Alberta to meet or beat our donation in an effort to drive up the total for this very worthwhile event! Simply go to www.lethbridgehurricanes.com and click on the “DONATE” box.

Thanks,
Pat
