The Lethbridge Hurricanes should be a fairly rested group as the get set tonight to play their only game of the weekend as they host the high flying Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Canes' have lost 3 games in a row, the most recent defeat was a tough 4-3 overtime loss Wednesday night to the visiting Portland Winterhawks. It was the first game of an 8 game home stand for Lethbridge. The Canes' had a good few days of practice as they try to slowly turn things around. Yesterday, the team spent the afternoon at Bridge City Chrysler playing street hockey with kids and signing autographs. It was a wet and snowy kind of start to the afternoon, but it turned out to be a great day. Thanks to all those who came down. Here are a few pictures:

The last game against the Hawks I thought the Hurricanes played pretty well, they just couldn't find the equalizer. They maybe deserved a better fate, but it's pretty clear this group is going to have to work for everything they get this season. Nothing is going to come easy. I also think the Canes' are going to need a little more from everyone. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Overage forward Radim Valchar must pick up his game offensively. He's been missing in action the past few games.

Lethbridge also needs to try and eliminate the small mistakes, like the untimely penalties that cost them the last game and the one against Saskatoon a few weeks ago. Paying attention to detail is is going to be very important for this Hurricanes group.

Game time tonight against the Warriors is 6pm (MT) from the Enmax Centre. The pre-game show on CJOC at 5:30.

Have a great Sunday!

Thanks,
