WHL Broadcasters Predictions Poll

Each year, the WHL play-by-play broadcasters are asked to give a prediction on where we feel each team will finish in our respective conferences. Those predictions are then averaged out and put into a final predictions poll. Here is the 2009/2010 poll results:

Eastern Conference:

  1. Hey Pat,as the voice of the Hurricanes we would like to know how you voted. Frankly, with the right moves and the development of the team through the leadership of Preston, the team could finish either 8th or 9th.

  2. Well Bugs if you must know, your numbers in 8th or 9th place is pretty much exactly where I put this team in my picks. I have to be honest given the young team they have at the moment. People also need to understand this poll is simple based on the current rosters of each team has going into the regular season, and Bugs you are right, if the correct moves are made, there's no reason why the Hurricanes can't challenge for a playoff spot. They are exactly that, predictions and I can tell you the broadcasters predictions last year and the actual outcomes were quite different. Take it for what it's worth! The WHL writers (the newspaper guys) will be coming out with something similar very soon too. Don't be surprised to see some of the same predicitions.
