Hurricanes Early Bird Ticket Prices Extended

Lethbridge, AB – Lethbridge Hurricanes Business Operations Manager Geoff Stewart made an exciting announcement Thursday afternoon that the hockey club will be extending their Early Bird/Loyalty Season Ticket deadline from June 15th to June 26th. Hurricanes existing Playoff Package and Season Ticket Holders will now have until the end of the month to renew their seats for the 2009-2010 season at the lowest possible price!

“We felt that we need to ensure that our existing Season Ticket holders have as much opportunity to renew for the 09-10 season as possible” said Stewart “With the ENMAX Centre Building enhancement project limiting some of our seating for the upcoming season; and with a renewed interest in the future of the team; we want to make sure our existing supporters can get the best possible price and availability on their season tickets”

For more information on renewing existing tickets or on becoming a Season Ticket Holder; fans are encouraged to visit or contact the ENMAX Centre Ticket Office or the Yates Theatre Centre by calling (403) 329-SEAT. Information is also available online at www.lethbridgehurricanes.com and at the Hurricanes Office at (403) 328-1986.

Why could this be? As a service to fans? Nice try. Why should you expect people to put down a big chunk of change on a team with no coach or GM and a board who have the support of their mothers and nobody else? Nice spin on what I assume is a dismal renewal rate. Hopefully the team will be a team by the time the early bird deadline runs out. I am guessing a lot of people are waiting to see if Sutter is chosen to guide the team. If this does not happen I can fairly guess that a lot of season ticket holders will tell the Canes board how they feel. Not that the board cares if the team loses money or games, they still get their tickets and jacket. Kudos to the board members who showed up to the meeting. At least 2 of you care what the owners think. At least I am a Cincinnati Bengals fan so I am used to dealing with an embarrassing, laughing stock of the league franchise.
