The Western Hockey League announced Saturday afternoon that Hurricanes forward Kyle Beach has been suspendedf for tonight's game as will Saskatoon defenceman Jiri Niemi.
Beach gets one game for a 3rd period crosscheck on Niemi. Niemi gets a game for an inappropriate gesture to the Hurricanes bench after that incident.
The two players will sit out game two and be back for game 3 in Lethbridge on Tuesday night. With Beach not in the line-up tonight, there's a chance the Canes' will activate Mark Reners who made the trip with the team. If not Reners, rookie Garrett Taylor could get the call.
