The Lethbridge Hurricanes begin defending their Eastern Conference Championship of last season when the take on the Blades in game one of their first round playoff series in Saskatoon at Credit Union Centre tomorrow night.
As up and down as this season has been for the Canes', I can tell you the team is very much looking at starting fresh in the post-season. No question though the status of goaltender Juha Metsola will be key. I had a chance to sit down with head coach Michael Dyck to talk about things heading into the series. Here's that interview in it's entirety: http://www.box.net/shared/o2fqbgk49l
I spent some time looking through a few of the sports sites yesterday and found an interesting article on sportsnet.ca. They list the Lethbridge Hurricanes as the the WHL's darkhorse team. Here's the link to read up on that:

Game two in this Lethbridge-Saskatoon series is Saturday night at 7pm. The series switches to Lethbridge Tuesday and Wednesday next week for games 3 and 4. You can catch all the action on CJOC, 94.1 The Lounge, the radio home of the Lethbridge Hurricanes!
I'll set up game one Friday.
That's it for now.
