What a waste of team money and peoples time after hearing that comment....time for a changeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853267891466093489.post-9477862740873402682011-10-25T11:26:19.382-06:002011-10-25T11:26:19.382-06:00Thanks for the interview with Ron Robinson, Pat. ...Thanks for the interview with Ron Robinson, Pat. That gave me all the information I need to know about the WHL with Robinson at the helm. That is, they are no different than any other large company or corporation.......they are greedy and don't care about the little guys!

In your interview, Robinson stated that the deciding factor in giving the Memorial Cup to Saskatoon was that their rink has twice as many seats as the other 2 finalists (Red Deer and Kelowna).

What a complete slap in the face of the small franchises! For a commissioner to blatantly state that they (he) is concerned that Alberta hasn't hosted a Memorial Cup for over 30 years and then to admit that they gave it to Saskatooon strictly based for monetary benefits to the league is a laughing joke!! I mean, HOW concerned he must be!!

All his "concern" was completely overcome by the almighty dollar! What a joke! I guess the league is waiting for Edmonton and Calgary to step up to the plate and make an offer since they have the extra large building capacity. It's easy to see that Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat are not in the league's plans for a Memorial Cup....EVER!

This whole thing seems to belong somewhere in amongst the "Greed" marches going on. Add the WHL to the list of money-hungry companies who can't see past the dollar sign.

(I hope the Hurricane Board of Directors listened closely to your interview, so they don't waste anymore of their time and the team's money on another Memorial Cup bid).Darrennoreply@blogger.com
